Stampin Up “Wonderful Year” and “Pretty Pines” Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Hi Stampers, Fall is in the air and the Christmas season is close by.  I decided to start playing with some of the holiday products from the new catalog.   Today was a sketch challenge.  Enjoy the hop and have fun seeing what this talented group of ladies shared today.

Here is the sketch:

I turned the sketch again to fit my card design. One of these days I will keep the sketch the way it was designed, LOL.   Sketches gives us a great starting off point for creating our cards.  Turn then, twist them up, that is what they are for, but most of all have fun.

The foliage: I used the dies from the Pretty Pines set and cut out the leaves in Old Olive and Garden Green

The sentiment:  I used the new Glitter Embossing Power and the Wonderful Year stamp set.  (I am not sure the camera catches the glimmer of the embossed image but it sparkles and shines, perfect  for a holiday card).

Bows and Trinkets:  I doubled up the ribbons using the new Candy Cane Lane Bakers Twine from the holiday catalog along with a silver bell trinket from the Christmas Trinkets set, also from the holiday catalog.

The Bling:  A few rhinestones and some real red enamel shapes finish off the card.
