Stampin Up “Vintage Leaves” Fall Card

Hi Stampers, Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away!  I thought I had better hurry and share a few more fall cards with you.  This share today is made with Stampin Up’s “Vintage Leaves” stamp set and matching die.  The combinations of color and patterns are endless with this set.    We did this card in class last month and my customers loved making this project.  Their favorite part was using a sponge dauber on the leaves to make them look like the leaves that are changing color in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.  I love giving classes, if you are in the Portland-Vancouver area and would like to join my monthly classes please contact me for details.

I ran my very vanilla mat through the big shot using the new Stampin Up “Woodland Textured embossing folder to start the card off.  It adds such dimension to the card and is a good background for the leaves.

Here is the recipe:

Card Base:  Very Vanilla 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 scored and 4-1/4

Mat: Soft Suede 4-1/8 by 5-3/8

Art Piece:  Very Vanilla 4-5-1/4  This piece was run through the big shot with the woodland embossing folder.

The Leaves:

Oak leaves: Soft Suede inked in Soft Suede

Very Vanilla inked in Soft Suede and rubbed with a sponge dauber in tangerine tango and old olive

Maple Leaf:  Tangerine Tango inked in tangerine tango

Heart shaped leaf:  Very Vanilla inked in soft suede and with a sponge dauber in tangerine tango, old olive and touch of cajun craze.

After the Leaves were done I cut them out on the big shot using the matching die.  I added some gold dazzling details for  added sparkle.

A gold double cord bow, gold sequins and sentiment finish the card.

Don’t forget the inside:

Finishing the card means adding a surprise in the inside.  More leaves stamped in the corner for added detail.
