Stampin’ Up! Tea Together for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hi Stampers, Today for our hop we have a color challenge using Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lipstick and Soft Seafoam.  (Oops, I realized I used Mint Macaron)  I decided to use my new stamp set from the Occasions Catalog called “Tea Together” and had fun coloring in all the images.  I am excited to use this stamp set again in other colors and mediums to see how I might change it up a bit

Here is the color challenge:

Stampin’ Up! Tea Together:

Here is the card recipe:

Card base: Whisper White 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4

Mat: Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 Embossed with the Polka Dot EF

DSP strip: Brights Paper Pack in Flirty Flamingo 5-1/4 x 1-1/2

Here are the details:

The tea pot:

  • Stamp your Teapot, flowers  and  2 extra flower images onto a piece of Shimmer White card stock in Staz on Black Ink
  • Color in the tea pot with your Flirty Flamingo water color pencil and blend it with your Blender Pen
  • Color in the flowers with your Blender Pen and Lovey Lipstick Ink
  • Color in the leaves with Soft Sea Foam ( I used Mint Macaron,  oops)
  • Die cut the tea pot and the two extra flowers with the coordinating die

More details:

  • Adhere your DSP strip to the embossed panel
  • Wrap a piece of White Bakers Twine around the seam of the DSP panel
  • Adhere this panel to the front of the card
  • Die cut at frame using the new Rectangle Stitched Die to make a frame with Whisper White Card Stock (The dies used were approx  4-1/4 x 2-7/8 and 3-7/8 x 2-5/8)
  • Mount the frame with Foam Adhesive Strips
  • Mount the  tea pot with dimensionals on top of the frame

Even more details:

  • Stamp your sentiment and die cut it our using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits
  • Adhere the sentiment to the right of the tea pot with glue dots
  • Adhere your two flowers, one next to the sentiment and one to the left of the teapot in the upper corner
  • add some Artisan pearls to the center of the flowers and here and there on the card
  • Attach a triple Bakers Twine White bow to the left of the teapot
