Hi Stampers, It is Thursday again and you know what that means? Another fun Happy Stampers Blog Hop for you. Today we had a sketch to work from. I like the sketches, it makes it easier for me to start my card, as it gives me a jumping off point to create. I usually tweak my design just a bit. `Oh the fun of creating and making each design your own.
Here is a look at the sketch we used:
Stampin Up “Botanical Blooms” in Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette:
Here is the card recipe:
Card Base: Whisper White Heavy card stock 4-1/4 x 11 scored at 5-1/2
Mat: Basic Black: 4 x 5-1/4
DSP Mat: Designer Chic DSP 3-7/8 x 5-1/8
Banner: 1-1/2 x 5-1/8
Ovals: Whisper White and Basic Black cut from the Oval Framelits
Here are the Details:
All Flowers and Leaves are cut with the Botanical Blooms Framelit collection
Large Flowers: Melon Mambo sponged with more Melon Mambo. The center is Basic Black.
Small Flowers: Pink Pirouette sponged with Melon Mambo. The center is a basic rhinestone
Tiny Flowers: Pink Pirouette, punched with the flower from the itty bitty punch pack and sponged with Melon Mambo, add a rhinestone to the center of this flower also.
All Leaves: Old Olive and inked and sponged in Mossy Meadow.
Sentiment: Black ink using the “Trust God” stamp set
More Details:
Medium Flower: Melon Mambo sponged with Melon Mambo.
All the other flowers and leaves are the same as the ones described above.
Finishing Details: I added embellishments from the “Love Blossom” Embellishment kit and “It’s My Party” melon Mambo enamel dots to add some extra pop. I also added some more rhinestones scattered about with the enamel dots so tie in the flower centers to the card.
