Hi Stampers, I hope this day finds you happy. Here in the Pacific Northwest we finally had some rain. I love the fall season, rain and dark nights. It is a cozy time of year and I welcome the new season. Today’s blog hop felt like fall as it was a fall color challenge. We are using Black, Basic Gray and Pumpkin Pie. Now the new catalog has gone live and would you belive I have not placed my order yet??? What to do with this challenge with no new fun Halloween or Fall stamps to use??? Dig into your stamps and find some old favorites to ink up again, and I did just that. I hope you enjoy my share today using a few favorites.
Here is the color challenge:
Stampin Up, Acorny Thank You & Swirly Scribbles:
Here is the recipe:
Card base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4
Mat: Black 3-7/8 x 5-1/8
Embossed piece: Very Vanilla 3-3/4 x 5 embossed with the Wood grain embossing folder
Here are the Details:
Wreath: Basic Black and Basic Gray card stock cut with the Swirly Scribbles Die
Leaves: Very Vanilla card stock inked with Old Olive ink using the Vintage Leave stamp set and matching die
Acorns: Very Vanilla card stock using Pumpkin Pie, Black and Basic Gray inks, stamped with the Acorny Thank You stamp set and punched with the acorn punch.
Sentiment: 1/2 x 3-1/4 punched with the triple banner punch and sponged with Pumpkin Pie ink. The Sentiment was from the Sheltering Tree stamp set.
Finishing touches: The bow is the NEW very vanilla lace trim that I adhered with a glue dot. I added some Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie enamel shapes along with some pearls for that touch of bling that I just love.
