Hi Stampers, We have another Thursday blog hop to share with you today. Today’s hop is a sketch challenge and I decided to use the Jolly Friends stamp set that was just given to me last week. I am having so much fun using a NEW to me stamp set. I combined the set with the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper. The great thing about this card is you can use ANY paper you want and it will still be just as cute.
Here is the sketch:
I turned the sketch horizontal when I made my card, LOL
Stampin Up Jolly Friends:
Here is the card recipe:
Card Base: Early Espresso 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4
Mat: Whisper White 5-1/4 x 3
DSP: Candy Cane Lane 5-1/4 x 2
Circles: All cut with the 4 smallest dies from the circle dies using Candy Cane Lane DSP, Real Red and Whisper White card stock
The moose was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto Crumb Cake card stock and the nose was sponge in Early Espresso ink to add some color. He was then fussy cut out with my scissors. The hat was inked with Real Red ink using the Jolly Friends hat stamp and the trim was inked in Early Espresso onto Whisper White card stock. Both of these pieces were punched with the coordinating hat punch. The little moose was mounted to Whisper White card stock that was cut with the circle die and I added a matching Real Red scalloped border circle for the mat.
A Jingle Bell and Candy Cane Lane Bakers Twine bow finished the details. This was mounted on dimensionals for added pop
The Sentiment was inked in Real Red with a Real Red Enamel heart. I had to add a few sparkle rhinestones too. My card is now complete.
