Hi Stampers, Today we have a color challenge and I was happy to see Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Real Red as our trio of colors. Why you ask? The color scheme fits right into the Cookie Cutter Christmas and Candy Cane Lane product suites from the NEW Stampin’ Up! holiday catalog. I squealed with delight as I opened up all my new products and fussed and fiddled with some new stamping goodies this week.
Here is the color challenge:
Stampin’ Up! Cookie Cutter Christmas and Candy Cane Lane:
Here is the recipe:
Card Base: Whisper White heave card stock 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4
Mat: Real Red 4 x 5-1/4
Small Mat: Whisper White 3-1/8 x 4-3/8
Candy Cane Lane DSP 3 x 4-1/4
Sentiment: 1 x 3
The Sentiment: I used my Stampin Write markers in Early Espresso and Real Red to color the sentiment from Wonderful Year stamp set.
The Bow and Trim: The bow was the Real Red Stitched ribbon with a gingerbread man added from the Christmas Trinkets Embellishments.
The Gingerbread people: The Cookie Cutter Bundle was used to stamp the Gingerbread men in Early Espresso ink onto Whisper White card stock. They were then punched out with the new Cookie Cutter matching punch. The little bow tie and hair ribbon used the same punch while using some red glimmer paper for this embellishment. The top gingerbread man was put on with dimensionals for added pop.
Here is another version of the exact same card. The difference is the use of the Cable Knit Embossing folder on the red mat. I love this look too. Which do you like best?
