Hi Stampers, today’s hop is a color challenge and it just says Christmas with the combo of colors, Emerald Envy, Mint Macaroon and Cherry Cobbler. I used the Christmas Pines Bundle today, incorporating the stamp set, embossing folder and dies. It was so fun and the combination of possibilities are endless.
Here is the color challenge:
Stampin’ Up! Christmas Pines & Pretty Pines Card:
Here is the recipe:
Card Base: Very Vanilla 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4
Mat: Cherry Cobbler 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
Art Piece: Very Vanilla 5-1/4 x 4
Stamp your fir boughs with Emerald Envy and Mint Macaroon. Pick a sentiment, I used the Noel from the set and stamped it in Cherry Cobbler. After you have inked up the boughs and sentiment, use the Pine Bough Textured Embossing folder to emboss your card. Mat the art piece onto the cherry cobbler mat and wrap the Cherry Cobbler and Gold Bakers Twine around the top of the card.
Using the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies cut 2 mistletoe, one in Emerald Envy and one Mint Macaroon. The next die is the berries, cut two out of Cherry Cobbler. I then stamped the small pine cones in versa mark and heat embossed the images with some gold embossing powder. After they were embossed I cut them out using the coordinating die. Tuck the leaves, berries and pine cones under the bakers twine. Top off your floral bouquet with a matching bow. A few gold sequins adhered with glue dots completes the card.
