Stampin’ Up! To A Wild Rose for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hi Stampers, Today we have a color challenge using the great combination of Blushing Bride, Garden Green and Crushed Curry.  I stamped up my set To A Wild Rose for this card and I must say, I love the stamp set.  My head started swimming with ideas of all the different variety of colors you could make this rose.

The color challenge:

Stampin’ Up! To A Wild Rose:

The recipe:

Card base: Whisper White 4-1/4 x 11. scored at 5-1/2

Mat: 6×6 Subtle Paper Pack in Blushing Bride 4 x 5-1/4

Panel: Blushing Bride 4 x 1-3/4 Embossed with the Subtle EF

Trim: Whisper White Cut with the Wild Rose Die

Circle: Whisper White cut with your Stitched Shaped Dies (second largest)

Circle mat: Blushing Bride cut with your Layering Circle Dies

The details:

  • Stamp your rose from the “To A Wild Rose” stamp set onto Whisper White card stock With Blushing Bride Ink.  This is the order in which I stamped mine,
  • Stamp the outline rose with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
  • Stamp the partial image with Blushing Bride Ink, stamped off once
  • Stamp the solid image with Blushing Bride Ink, stamped off once
  • Die cut your floral image out with the Wild Rose Dies
  • Stamp out your 3 leaves  in the same manner as the rose using Garden Green Ink
  • Die cut your leaves with the Wild Rose Dies
  • Die Cut the Trim using the die from Wild Rose Die set

The Sentiment:

  • Color in your sentiment from Band Together using the ink to rubber technique.  (Color in the sentiment with your Black and Blushing Bride Stampin Markers)
  • Mount the sentiment onto the Blushing Bride Scallop mat

Putting the card together:

  • Mount the Blushing Bride checked mat onto the card front
  • Attach the Whisper White trim piece with Tombo Glue
  • Attach the embossed Blushing Bride panel on top of the trim piece
  • Mount your flower with dimensionals to the left side of the card and on top of the Blushing Bride embossed panel
  • Attach your sentiment circle to the right side of the rose, slightly tucked under some of the petals
  • Attach your leave with glue dots
  • To finish the card:
  • attach a Bakers Twine Bow in Whisper White
  • Add a few pearls and rhinestones and last but not least
  •  Attach a Perennial Essence Floral Center to the rose

Alternate Monday Stampin’ Up! Winds of Change

Hi Stampers, It’s Alternate Monday day.  That means I am sharing a card taken from the blog hop that I participate in each Thursday. I am taking either the sketch or color challenge and making a second card that is close to or similar to the posted card from the hop.  I want to inspire you to get different looks for your card by mixing it up a bit by color and design.  Today I used the same layout, with a twist and changed the colors to give the card an “Alternate” look.

Stampin’ Up! Winds of Change:

Card base: Whisper White 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4

Mat: Brights Paper Pack in Gorgeous Grape 5-12 x 4-1/4

Stitched Framelit mat: Daffodil Delight

Art Piece: Whisper White  from the Stitched Dies

Sentiment: Whisper White 5/8 c 3-1/2,  punched with the Triple Banner Punch

The details:

  • Stamp your Winds of Change image onto a piece of Whisper White card stock with Tuxedo Memento Ink
  • Color in you image with your Stampin Blends as follows:
  • Wind mill building: Crumb Cake
  • Wind mill: Soft Suede
  • Tulip leaves: Granny Apple Green
  • Tulips: Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight and Petal Pink
  • Outline shadow: Light Pool Party
  • After your image is all colored in, die cut the art piece using your Rectangle Stitched Dies

Putting the card together:

  • Attach the DSP mat to the  card front
  • Attach your solid stitched mat to the art piece
  • Wrap some Whisper White Bakers twine around the bottom of the stacked mats twice
  • Adhere this to the front of the card with dimensionals
  • Stamp you image one extra time onto some Whisper White card stock and color in the three largest tulips with the coordinating colors
  • Fussy cut these tulips out and adhere them to the top of the stamped images with a mini dimensionals
  • Stamp your sentiment  from the Winds of Change Stamp Set
  • Add few Noble  Peacock Rhinestones and some yellow Happiness Blooms Enamel dots to  the front of the card
  • Attach your sentiment with dimensionals
  • Color in a few of the tulips with some Wink Of Stella
  • Add a double Whisper White Bakers Twine bow to the left of the sentiment and you are done!

Stampin’ Up! “Winds of Change” card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hi Stampers:  Today we have a sketch challenge and I inked up my new “Winds of Change” stamp set.  I bought this set because I loved the sentiments and had a few people in mind when I saw the set.    Coloring is my passion and this set did not disappoint as it was fun and relaxing to color in the stamped images.

Mat: Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4

DSP: Follow Your Art 5-1/8 x 3-7/8

The details:

  • Die cut your pocket using Whisper White Card Stock and the Pocket Die
  • Stamp your background  image in Coastal Cabana  ink from the Love What You Do Stamp Set
  • Stamp over your background using the small flower in the same stamp set in Crushed Curry
  • Stamp your leave image on top of the background image in Pacific Point Ink using the leaf image from Pop of Petals
  • Stamp 3 flowers from your Pop Of Petals Stamp set onto Whisper White card stock using Calypso Coral Ink
  • Punch out the flowers with the Four Petal Flower Punch

Putting the card together:

  • Adhere your Follow Your Art DSP to the White mat
  • Adhere your pocket art piece to the  front of this matted panel
  • Wrap a piece of Calypso Coral Ribbon around the panel and on top of the pocket
  • Adhere this panel to the front of the card
  • Attach your three flowers using dimensionals
  • Adhere some Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots to the front of the card
  • Add a Calypso Coral Bow

The Sentiment:

  • Stamp your sentiment using a greeting from Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set and your Tuxedo Black Ink
  • Punch your sentiment out the the Classic Punch
  • Adhere to the right side of the pocket with a glue dot

Stampin’ Up! “Very Versailles” For The Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hi Stampers, today for our hop we have a sketch challenge.  I combined two great products to create my card for you.  I inked up for the very first time the Very Versailles Stamp set and then used the Pocket dies which was the perfect shape for the sketch challenge.

The sketch:

The recipe:

Card base: Crumb Cake 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4

Mat: Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4

DSP Woven Threads 5-1/8 x 3-7/8

The details:

  • Die cut your pocket using Whisper White Card Stock and the Pocket Die
  • Stamp your script image in Rococo Rose ink from the Very Versailles Stamp Set
  • Stamp your leave image on top of the script image in Vera Mark Ink
  • Sprinkle  Gold Emboss Power over the stamped image and then heat set the emboss powder with your heat tool
  • Stamp 3 flowers from your Tea Together Stamp set onto White Watercolor paper
  • Color in your images using an aqua painter and your Rococo Rose and Terracotta Tile Re-inkers
  • Die cut the 3 flowers out using your Tea Times dies

Putting the card together:

  • Adhere your Woven Threads DSP to the White mat
  • Adhere your pocket art piece to the  front of this matted panel
  • Wrap a piece of Whisper White Bakers Twine 2 times around the panel and on top of the pocket
  • Adhere this panel to the front of the card
  • Attach your three flowers using glue dots
  • Add Gold Faceted Gems to the center of the flowers
  • Adhere some Gold Metallic Pearls to the front of the card
  • Add a double Whisper White Bakers Twine Bow

The Sentiment:

  • Stamp your sentiment using a greeting from Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set and your Versa Mark Ink
  • Sprinkle your image with Gold Emboss Power and heat set with you Heat Tool
  • Punch your sentiment out the the Classic Punch
  • Adhere to the right side of the pocket with a glue dot

I turned this card from portrait to landscape, changed stamp sets and color to make this “Alternate Look”  It is amazing how different they look by mixing it up a bit!

 

The recipe:

Card base: Soft Suede 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4

Mat: Terracotta Tile 5-1/4 x 4

DSP panel: Mosaic Mood  5-1/8 x 3-7/8

Die cut edge panel: Mint Macaron  5-1/8 x 1-1/2  (die cut the bottom on this panel with the die from Magnolia Memory)

DSP panel on top of the Die cut panel: Mosaic Mood 5-1/8 x 2

The details:

  • Stamp your floral images with Terracotta Tile Ink stamp.   (1 large flower and 2 small flower using the image from Floral Essence Stamp Set onto Whisper White Card Stock)
  • Color in the flowers centers using your dark Daffodil Delight Stampin Blend
  • Fussy cut your flowers with paper snips
  • Stamp your leaves in Garden Green Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock
  • Punch them out with the leaf punch

Putting the card together:

  •  Adhere the layers as follows:
  • Adhere your large Mosaic Mood panel the the Terracotta Tile mat
  • Adhere your small piece of DSP on top of the Mint Macaron die cut panel, letting the die cut end show about 1/2 inch
  • Wrap a piece of Textile Ribbon around the DSP/die cut panel
  • Adhere the panel to the center of the matted panel
  • Attach this stack to the front of the card
  • Adhere your 3 flowers, with dimensionals and glue dots
  • Tuck in your leaves under the flowers and adhere with glue dots
  • Add a Textile  bow to the cluster of 2  flowers

The sentiment:

  • Stamp your sentiment from the Praiseworthy Prose Stamp set onto a piece of Whisper White Card Stock (4 x 3/4)
  • Punch the end your sentiment out with the Triple Banner Punch
  • Adhere this to the front of the card with glue dots
  • Add some Terracotta Tile Faceted Dots for added dimension

Stampin’ Up! Another “Magnolia Lane” for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hi Stampers, Today we had a color challenge using Petal Pink, Black and Mossy Meadow.  I just had to ink up my Good Morning Magnolia stamp set again as the colors work beautiful with the designer series paper.

Card base: Basic Black 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/5

Mat: Petal Pink 4 x 5-1/4

DSP panel: Magnolia Lane 3-7/8 x 5-1/8

Die cut edge panel: Petal Pink 3-7/8 x 2-3/4 (die cut the bottom on this panel with the die from Magnolia Memory)

DSP panel on top of the Die cut panel: Magnolia Lane 3-7/8 x 2-1/4

The details:

  • Stamp your floral image 3 times using the stamp from Good Morning Magnolia onto Whisper White Card Stock
  • Color in the flowers with your Petal Pink Stampin Blends
  • Color in the leaves using your Mossy Meadow Stampin Blends
  • Die cut your images out with the Magnolia Memory Dies

Putting the card together:

  •  Adhere the layers as follows:
  • Adhere your Magnolia Lane panel the the Petal Pink mat
  • Adhere your small piece of DSP on top of the Petal Pink die cut panel, letting the die cut end show about 1/2 inch
  • Wrap a piece of Organdy Striped Ribbon around the DSP/die cut panel
  • Adhere the panel to the center of the matted panel
  • Attach this stack to the front of the card base
  • Adhere your 3 flowers, with dimensionals and glue dots
  • Add a Organdy Striped bow the cluster of 2  flowers

The sentiment:

  • Stamp your sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp set
  • Punch your sentiment out with the Classic Label Punch
  • Adhere this to the front of the card with glue dots
  • Add some pearls for added dimension

Stampin’ Up! Floral Essence:

 

The Recipe:

Card base: Petal Pink 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2

Mat: Blackberry Bliss 4 x 4-1/2

DSP: Perennial Essence paper pack 3-7/8 x 4-3/8

Sentiment: Whisper White and Petal Pink card stock

The Details:

 

  • Stamp the floral image petals from the Floral Essence Stamp Set 2 times onto a piece of Petal Pink Vellum with Blackberry Bliss Ink (I heat set this with my heat tool to speed up the drying on the vellum)
  •  Stamp your leaf image 3 times with Old Olive Ink onto a piece of Old Olive vellum.  Punch them out with the Leaf Punch
  • Using the edge detailed die from the Magnolia Lane Dies Set, cut the bottom of the Blackberry Bliss and Perennial Essence panels
  • Adhere these two panels together with snail and attach them to the front of the card with dimensionals
  • Die cut your sentiment piece in Whisper White Card Stock and Petal Pink card stock, using the Stitched Nested Dies
  • Stamp the sentiment from the Band Together Stamp Set with Blackberry Bliss Ink
  • Adhere the sentiment to the front of the card with dimensionals
  • Adhere your flower to the left of the sentiment
  • Tuck in your leaves around the flower adhered with glue dots
  • Add a few Rhinestones from the Noble Peacock jewels (Melon Mambo) to the front of the card
  • For that final detail, add a Perennial Essence Floral Center to the middle of the flower

Stampin’ Up! “Floral Essence” Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hi Stampers, I am having so much fun playing and inking up some brand new stamp sets.  This week was no exception as I inked up the Floral Essence Stamp Set for the first time.  I had a hard time deciding which flower to use, the stamped floral or the one with the punch.  Today the stamped floral won.  I did use the punch,  you will see that next Monday (just a tiny hint of what will be coming your way)  Today we had a sketch challenge and the Floral Essence worked perfectly.

The Sketch:

Card base: Flirty Flamingo 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2

Mat: Whisper White 4 x 4-1/2

DSP: Brights 6×6 paper pack 3-7/8 x 4-3/8

Sentiment: Whisper White card stock

The Details:

  • Stamp the floral image from the Floral Essence Stamp Set onto a piece of Whisper White card stock with Black Tuxedo Memento Ink
  • Color in the flower with your Flirty Flamingo Stampin Blends and then fussy cut the flower out with your paper snips
  • Stamp your leaf image 4 times with Granny Apple Green Ink onto a piece of Whisper White card stock.  Punch them out with the Leaf Punch
  • Using the edge detailed die from the Magnolia Lane Dies Set, cut the bottom of the Whisper White and Brights (checked pattern)Flirty Flamingo panels
  • Adhere these two panels together with snail and attach to the front of the card with dimensionals
  • Die cut your sentiment piece in Whisper White Card Stock using the Stitched Nested Dies
  • Stamp the sentiment from the Inspiring Iris Stamp Set with Black Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
  • Adhere the sentiment to the front of the card with dimensionals
  • Adhere your flower to the left of the sentiment
  • Tuck in your leaves around the flower adhered with glue dots
  • Add a few pearls to the front of the card
  • For that final detail, add a Perennial Essence Floral Center to the middle of the flower

Alternate Monday Another “Free As A Bird” Card

Hi Stampers, It’s Alternate Monday day.  That means I am sharing a card taken from the blog hop that I participate in each Thursday. I am taking either the sketch or color challenge and making a second card that is close to or similar to the posted card from the hop.  I want to inspire you to get different looks for your card by mixing it up a bit by color and design.  Today I used the same layout, with a twist and changed the colors to give the card an “Alternate” look.

Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird:

The Recipe:

Card base: Whisper White 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored at 4-1/4

Mat: Bird Ballad DSP 5-1/4 x 4

Mat: Pool Party 4-1/2 x 3-1/4

DSP panel: Bird Ballad DSP 4-5/8 x 3-3/8

Scallop: Pool Party

Art piece: Whisper White Layering Stitched Dies

Sentiment: 3/4 x 3 Punched with the Triple Banner Punch

The Details:

The birds:

  • Stamp your bird image from the “Free As A Bird” Stamp Set twice, once on a scrap piece of Whisper White Card Stock and once onto the Whisper White Stitched Layering Framelit art piece. (Stamp it slightly off the edge of the circle, so the tail gets get off a bit)
  • Stamp the leaf image at the feet of the little bird image
  • Color in the images with your Stampin  Blends as follows:
  • Leaves: Old Olive,  Both Birds: Pool Party, Bird Breast: Petal Pink, Stem: Soft Suede
  •  With your paper snips, cut out the wing portion of the bird that you colored in on the scrap piece of Whisper White card stock
  • Attach the cut out wing  to the other bird with Mini Stampin Dimensionals
  • Adhere your art piece to the Pool Party Scallop Circle

Putting The Card Together:

  • Adhere the DSP panel to the front of the card
  • Adhere your smaller panel of DSP to the Pool Party mat
  • Adhere this panel to the front of the card with Stampin Dimensionals
  • Adhere your art piece to the front left of the card with Stampin Dimensionals
  • Stamp your sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp set onto the whisper White banner piece and attach to the front of the card with glue dots
  • Add a Petal Pink Organdy Bow with glue dots
  • Adhere a  Petal Pink Frosted Flower and a few pearls to the front to the art piece and card front.

Here is the card from my Thursday Blog Hop.  The card is the same, only the color and papers have changes.  These subtle changes make such an “Alternate Look”.
