Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hi Stampers, Here is another Thursday Blog Hop share for you today.  The team had a sketch challenge and as soon as I saw the sketch I grabbed the Colorful Seasons stamp set because of the big “Just Breathe” sentiment.

Here is the sketch:

Here is the recipe:

Card base: Very Vanilla 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, Scored at 4-1/4

Mat: Dapper Denim 4 x 5-1/4

DSP: Eastern Palace  3-7/8 x 5-1/8

Small mat: Lemon Lime Twist 2-7/8 x 4-1/8

Small DSP :  Color Theory  2-3/4 x 4

Sentiment: Very Vanilla 1-1/2 x 5-1/2  Embossed with the Layered Leaves EF

Sentiment mat: 1-5/8 x 5-1/2

  • Attach all mats and DSP to the front of the card (excluding the sentiment)

The sentiment:

  • ink the sentiment with tuxedo black ink to the 1-1/2 x 5-1/2  piece of  very vanilla card stock
  • run this through the big shot using the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder
  • adhere the sentiment to the gold mat and attach to the front of the card

  • cut out the branch in Basic Black card stock with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits dies
  • cut out the maple leaves in Gold Foil and Lemon Lime Twist cards stock using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits dies
  • attach the branch above the sentiment on the right side of the card
  • add some loops of Thin Metallic Thread to the right side of the branch
  • attach the two maple leaves right below the branch, on top of the metallic thread
  • add a shimmer black ribbon on top of the leaves
  • add some Glitter Enamel dots, metallic enamel shapes and small rhinestones here and there on the card for the final touch
